Job Description

Our client provides project delivery and consulting services to the resources and energy sectors, and complex process industries.

Position: ICSS Engineer

Type: Contract

Pay: Based on experience

L ocation: Schiedam

Position Summary:

The ICSS Engineer will be responsible for developing project-specific system designs, preparing documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements. They will participate in safety reviews and studies, conduct inspections and tests, and provide technical guidance to more junior engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Continuously consider cost, constructability, operability, and maintainability in project execution.

  • Develop project-specific system designs and associated documentation.

  • Prepare Hierarchical Shutdown Levels Diagram, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Control & Safeguarding Philosophy, F&G Philosophy, and F&G layouts.

  • Participate in safety reviews and studies, such as HAZOP and SIL assessment & and verification.

  • Prepare ICSS RFQ, review vendor quotations, and conclude vendor selection.

  • Act as a package engineer to ensure timely and budget-compliant system delivery.

  • Ensure proper integration and/or interface of package units with the ICSS.

  • Conduct ICSS inspections and tests, including Factory Acceptance Test and Site Acceptance Test.

  • Ensure full compliance with the regulatory regime and classification requirements.

Requirements:

  • MSC or BSC degree (TU/HTS) in a relevant field.

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in advanced ICSS systems in the Oil & Gas industry.

  • Knowledge of international offshore codes is preferred.

  • Technical knowledge of various ICSS platforms is preferred.

  • Experience with ICSS systems in the offshore oil & gas industry is an advantage.

Qualifications:

  • Proactive approach with the ability to take initiative.

  • Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills.

  • Professional communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.

  • Willingness to travel, as needed.

  • Ability to work well within a team and collaborate across disciplines.

  • Strong commitment to safety.

What can you expect for:

You are paid a competitive hourly rate every 4 weeks, which equals 13 salary payments.

Benefits:

  • Hybrid work model (3 days in the office, 2 days at home)

  • You receive a commuting allowance of .21 cents per kilometer.

  • You are eligible for statutory sick leave.

  • You have 200 hours of vacation time in addition to the statutory Dutch Holidays which are fully paid, in addition to the vacation hours.

Relocation package:

If you are from outside of the Netherlands, we offer a relocation package.

This package includes us applying for your visa, your 30% ruling, and flying costs.

Additionally, you receive 10 days in a hotel, and we introduce you to a real estate agent to help you find a house.
